3 spots open in the RV from jersey to mid-ohio

5 of us guys and one girl have rented a 30 foot 2008 rv to drive out and "camp" at mid-ohio. we have a big trailer for our bikes too but most of us will ride out in front of the rv.   ...anyway we are maxed out in the 1st rv so we are thinking about renting a second.  so far we have 2 people in on the 2nd rv but need 3 to 4 more to make it worth booking rv#2.
with 6 per camper the price is only $200 bucks. that includes gas, tolls, rental fee and all but your food and drink.
if you live in jersey or  you're on the way and want in let me know.

Oh man I wish I was back in the USA for this trip....now that would be fun! Why couldnt you have done this last year when i went  ;)

dammit, i just posted in what i thought was the "main" thread, that glenn tacked up in the "bikes" forum.  sounds like this is what i had in mind.

i'm cracking up over here. it's hard to keep up on all the threads. the two guys i thought might be up for this type of thing were andy and that jersey guy with the crazy eyeball....  :0  neither of whom i know in real life. who else, chris liston? tom?

i'm camping in a tent, is my first choice.

my thought is, rather than bloat the operation and push for two RVs, just figure out who's content to rough it, and let us tent people pitch in for gas and tolls in exchange for the rolling support. (also, someone may emerge and join us with their own van, trailer, etc....)

when are you going?

an argument in favor of 2 RVs would be a "2 wave" scenario, i.e. if we all can't go out thursday.

thats not a bad idea.
we kinda gave up on the 2nd rv idea due to the fact that we cant fill it. now we are gonna  drive up withone 30 ft rv, 7 people, and a trailer hauling 6.5 bikes.   if you want to hop in for the ride and camp on our sight i'm cool with that.
i just dont think we can fit one more bike on the trailer. we might be able to rotate bikes off so we all get ride time.

and to clarify, i'm planning on riding the bike (as opposed to needing a trailer spot -- knock on wood)...  it would just be fun to go as a group, and have the trailer as a "just in case"...

officially, the event is friday to monday, 7/24-26, but i know race tech happens on thursday. as i recall, you can camp thursday night as well.

is that the plan for this RV crew, to leave early thursday, and camp there thursday night?

i think  we're rolling out early friday a.m.  if all goes well we'll pick up the r.v. and be packed and ready thursday night.
the r.v. is packed as is the trailer.   you're welcome to tag along.  at rest stops some of us will take our bikes off the trailer for some highway time. your welcome to hop on and relax for some chill time when some one has a bike off.

ask anyone who's been (like, say, me) -- ya just can't do it all in 3 days, let alone 2...

my strong preference is to head out in time to camp there thursday night.  i can do it in one shot, or could be coaxed into starting on wednesday. any takers?

if the RV can't go until friday, i understand....
