Wiring Issue cb750
« on: November 05, 2005, 01:10:11 PM »
Does anyone have a clear picture of how the wiring placement should be under on the cb750. Also, on the new harness i bought there is a green ground wire with eye, anyone know where this goes.  My old harness had been sliced and diced.  thanks

Damnit I just got every thing put back together today. Through a little trial and error I found the harness runs the left side of the coils between the top and side frame tube and through the triangle from there You will figure it out. good luck

Mr.lasty...My pit loves O'possums...that little bastard used t get about 2 or 3 a week...bloody mess when he's done...

I dont allow him to attack other animals but they used to get in our back yard where he was able to be off his leash and that is that...

Lots of folks don't like the opossum, strange because they do no harm, are extremely disease resistant cleaners of the forest, not aggressive and make great pets and their numbers are dwindling in some areas.  I have been looking for some babies in my area for some time now with no luck. be nice to them, they contribute to the local ecosystem more than folks give them credit for so please be nice to them, thanks.

On my 750 the green wire with the eye goes to one of the bolts holding the seat latch mechanism.

I think you are probably correct, it would look like thats about the only ground bolt it could go to.  Thats what i was thinking.  One other question for you, on my 750 there is 2 red wires coming off the main wire from the battery, one fits nicely into the wire harness and another one has no home?  any idea what that could be for?  I have hooked up the harness to everythign else color code except i also have an additional green that is close to the flasher, but my wiring diargram looks like that is not used.  thanks

Starter Solenoid mounted on the side of the battery box??
The additional green was used on the early flasher relays. Most now only need the two, ie they do not need to be earthed.

I can get a pic of mine. I've wondered what the spare red and green female spade terminals were for as well. I wondered if they (Honda) thought about having the 3-prong flashers (or were they even available back then?) and was the red wire leftover from when the 750 just used one fuse?

Its clear from the wiring diagram that the green is just left floating.  The extra red from the battery is a mystery to you.
