Looking for info on fuel gauge
« on: May 26, 2009, 11:16:49 AM »

Own a '77 cb750k. Ran out of gas again yesterday. I know, I know, stop running bike on reserve. Just seems to run a bit healthier on reserve than when I have on main supply setting. Does anyone know of anyone who makes or sells fuel gauges for this bike or has anyone ever retrofit one say from an atv, etc.? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There's a nifty little fuel cap gauge that fits the earlier K bikes... I don't know what kind of surgery you'd have to do to a 77 tank to make it fit, but it's an option.  There are a couple on eBay (search "cb750 fuel gauge tank cap"), but they ain't cheap.
One day, I will put up a signature.

There was an aftermarket one that had the gauge in the gas cap ( I had one on the tank but it was shot after being left out for 25 yrs) You maybe able to still to find one on ebay or one of the forums The ones on ebay are about $95
