Coin Collection / Hoards getting recirculated?
« on: May 27, 2009, 08:37:38 AM »
Anyone noticed , lots of  early coins popping up in Circulation of late? Sure has been more common up here in Canada lately.

I am seeing lots of 40 yr old stuff, a bit of 50 and even 60 yr old coins.. mostly pennies.

when I collected them in the 60s, it was very uncommon to se even 30yr old coins.

I too have seen a surge, you would be surprised how many I get just from normal shopping. I look at my coins all the time and find silver and old pennies all the time.
Oh yeah the canada coin thingy, ya'll are going to be part of the US before you know it, just like Mexico prob will soon too.
We will be one big happy family then, coins and all. ;D
My wife worked at a salvation army store for a while years back and she brought home coins from around the world, some crazy cool coins out there folks, good hobby to get into.
