350 Pipes
« on: May 27, 2009, 01:19:55 PM »
Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the O/D of 350/4 standard pipes. Also i am after some stubby reverse meggas that will fit on the standard down pipes, but can't seem to find any???? Love the look of 4 meggas, but i'm struggling to find them. Can't measure my downpipes as they are not here where i am! The original silencers were cut off as they had been down the road more than once!!!!

Not bothered if they are the same diameter as they could be welded in place!

Any help/ ideas gratefully received, with pics would be nice ;)

Looked at Swarbrick but a little too expensive for me!

Many thanks

tonight or tomorrow I'll get out my old verniers and let you know.  I just kind of skimmed you question though, are you wanting OD for headers?  or for silencers?

Hi,
I need it for the headers, as i have chopped the tail pipes off, and i'm searching for something that will fit, preferably meggas, and either to weld straight onto the headers, or as close to that size as possible!

Many Thanks
Kind Regards

You just want the outside diameter of the headers? If that's what you're looking for I can measure.

1.25" outside diameter.

No one knows of said source b/c they don't exist (as far as I know).

Here are your options:

I really hope you go with the second option and PM me with your opinions and/or a video. Either way, post your results to this thread (I'm watching it) b/c all us 350 owners rue our exhaust situation.

Also, I have an OEM exhaust setup with perfect headers and two good silences (two with rust holes) if you want to buy 'em. Just PM me to talk details.

Many thanks for the links
I will definately keep you all informed of what i go with. My bike is actually a 400, but came with 350 pipes, so i'm hopefully going to use those headers. Have got a 4-1 Marvin, but really like the 4-4 or even 4-2 set ups.

Here is a british link for the MIVV mufflers. There used to be a fellow in Texas that had them on his website but now he doesn't :(

Here's where I got the Mivv mufflers last fall for my CB350F:
http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=902

According to their product blurb, Mivv have stopped production but have a couple of sets left in their warehouse.

Benji lists them on the website but does not have them - I asked.

2 in fact - I would own one right now if my subaru's alternator hadn't crapped out on me this week and eaten up my budget. $566 + shipping

2 left thats crazyness when i checked today they only had 1 pair left and i checked all the other sites i had bookmarked for that exhaust and none were listed so i impulsed and got the last set from pj and paige , i always liked this exhaust even thou 3 of my pipes are in very nice condition but the other one is rusted through and the previous owner tipped the bike over and put some nice tiger claw scratches on it well it was a big impulse buy (buy pipes worry about rent later) i might have to stand on colfax late at night to make up for the money (denver comedy) but ya i'm excited not sure if i'm completely in love with the look everything looks different when its on the bike but if not i could use what i learned in business classes supply and demand! supply is low so jack up the price !! HA no i'm just kidding i wouldn't do that

hope all is well
