CB350F Paint
« on: May 28, 2009, 02:57:39 PM »
Who has Flake Matador Red in spray cans? Or has a good lead to match? Color-rite does not have it. I know it has a silver base coat. Is headlight shell black always or match the red?

All the headlight shells I've seen are black...

On the 750's only the 69-70 were body color.

I matched the Matador red...as close as a match can be...

Used Titanium sliver base and Candy red from SEMI.

I used Dupli-Color (Truck, Van, & SUV) T199 Cherry Red over a base of Dupli-Color White.

3 coats of primer, sand lightly, 2 coats of white, 3 coats of red, then 3 coats of clear.

I haven't used his paint, but many other sohc4 members have and were pleased with it.

I was thinking the same thing. The side covers are orginal paint.

I did get cheap and applied pin striping I bought at Auto Zone.

Do advanced search on ebay seller andy.cepok then search site for your color.
He has many early Honda colors for sale ready mixed. I have recently purchased a can of Flake Matador Red for my 350f but I've yet to use it. Just need to get all the parts ready first.
