Had kreeme liner in tank when I bought the bike, peeled a few weeks later, and I did the POR-15 and it worked great. The kreeme may have been peeling due to bad prep by PO, but I will never know

Yes it was bad prep. I Kreemed my tank MANY years ago and it's still fine. Kreeme doesn't deserve the bad rep it gets, the applier deserves the bad rep.

As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Caswell worked well on my glass tank. I could see inside through the bottom and wasn't getting coverage so I mixed the other 1/2 and dumped it all in.

Make sure your choice of liner is OK in fiberglass. Caswell is.

Red Kote will not work. It is not safe with ethanol gas and I do not recommend it. I lined my CB750 Supersport tank and within 3 months over half the Red Kote had dissolved.

I had the exact opposite experience with red kote.
I did some de-rusting first with metal rescue.  Poured in half the quart of red goo.  Did the tank rotisserie while it set up.  Gave it a day to dry before pouring in the second half of the can and repeating the process.  Set it out to dry for a while.  Giving it the recommended sniff test before exposing it to gas.  Even when i thought I couldn't smell the chemical, I gave it another day or so just to be safe.

Havent had any trouble.  And no more rust in the carb bowls!

The prep and cure time is 'key'.I found that w/ RedKote you need to get the inside of the tank BONE DRY like the desert.. after fully cleaning/washing it out.
