That is one sweet ride! (I'm pretty sure I've seen its cousin sitting in a front yard under a tarp right down the street.) With that thing a helmet is optional - a tetanus shot isn't.

Just because you CAN do something doesn't always mean you SHOULD do it. Maybe I'm just jealous cause he's riding cause his runs. :)

The really sad part is that the front disc brakes on that thing are probably still better than the ones on our bikes... ;)

Couldn't get a good look at the motor but I guess it would qualify as an SOHC/4, Possibly an SOHC-4/Goldwing hybrid (water cooling). Maybe he's trying to rival a Harley, with the fat tires and such.. Looks like it weighs more!

Was this guy on "Junkyard Wars"?????

Hmmm... looking at the rust on the disc,  they don't work much either. Or maybe he doesn't use them, if I was riding it I wouldn't stop anywhere that people may know me.

Oh, any votes on which part of its back end is in line?

Yeah, I saw that... I was thinking more in terms of the leading-fork dual-piston setup.

Maybe that pic was taken before the test drive?

Booze, weed, acid - a bad combination.
Actually a 10 plus for conceptualization. The actual work however falls woefully short of that mark.

I have to say, I'm impressed the thing works but the question remains:  why?  I'm assuming he didn't spend much cash on the thing, but c'mon folks...it's called rust remover.  Oh well, I guess some people like the "Mad Max" look and more power to him.

I think the answer is in the "ratbike" post -- see www.ratbike.org  It is "nouveau-retro-derelict" to ride on a rusting heap. To paint it would be an insult! ;)

Wow, thats what a late model SOHC looks like with MX fenders and plow lights.  ;D

It almost looks like someone was trying to get the motard look.

I have actually seen worse. It was "dune buggy - thingy" with a Kawasaki KZ440 welding to the back of it like some huge wart. I will try to get pics and let you guys see. It is just wrong on many levels. Keep in mind that when these guys are welding they LOVE black pipe.

What is that thing chained to it? An anti-theft device? A primitive brake? My meatloaf recipe?

There are many things that can't be done that I wish could.
There are some things that have been done that that realy shouldn't.
