You'd might be suprised to know how many people ever heard that a third building fell that day.
Or not. Most people I talk to never knew a third fell that day.

Yeah, Popular Mechanics, Hearst run publication, inventor of "Yellow Journalism" to get us involved in the Spanish-American War and other numerous conflicts over the years.

If 25% of the building South Side) was gone like they say happened then why did that building (WTC7 ) fall down symmetrically and not asymmetrically in its own footprint? Watch the building demolition video of WTC7. The structural engineers in my office agree with me that WTC 7 was demoed, why are we still being lied to? Goebbels was right.

Oh jeez.  Here we go again.

So what was the goal of this supposed conspiracy?  What, the government couldn't have just trumped up something stupid like genocide of the Kurds or Weapons of Mass Destruction to justify going into Iraq?  Why not just do what they've always done, and just send the troops in without seeking the approval of the people?  You know, like Kennedy (D) got us into Vietnam and Truman (D) got us into Korea?

Imagine the same people standing on street-corners with "Bring them Home" signs would instead be standing on street-corners with "Free the Kurds" signs if the government had made a public relations effort out of it.

After all, Iraq War II was like a tiny pimple on the ass of the Vietnam War.  If the government hadn't made such a big political deal out of it by pretending to do something retaliatory after the 9/11 attacks, it is likely that nobody would have even noticed us invade Iraq AGAIN ("oh good, dear, maybe this time we'll get it right.  Well, I'm off to bed, honey.  Yawn").

Besides, thermite is an incendiary, not a demolition explosive.  It would be stupid to risk using thermite in case the building didn't go down and then face having the evil "conspiracy" discovered.

Just doesn't make any sense.

No one knows that answer except for maybe the big stake holders of the Carlyle group, CFR, Bildeberg, Trilateral commission.

All I know is we have been bold-faced lied to by yet again another Warren commission and it kind of really is pissing me off at this point.

Do they really think the American populace is this stupid and gullible?

Ummmm... can I rephrase that last sentence, I forgot that more people vote for American Idoltry than for the Presidency.

I don't buy into any of this for the simple reason that has anyone come forward or been ferreted out to admit direct involvement and then produce real evidence to prove it?  It would have to be a massive plot involving hundreds of people.  It could not have been carried out alone by Dick Cheney from his Fuhrer Bunker.  This is all just someone reading tea leaves after the fact.

My own small personal connection to all this was that the company I worked for at the time did quite a bit of work on the site for Goldman Sacks.  We were just finishing up a job across the street in One Liberty Plaza and some of the other buildings on the WTC site.  I had flown out a few days before as I had a vacation planned and was on a canoe trip in a remote area of Canada when it happened and did not learn of it till a week later.  The rest of the crew had front row seats in One Liberty and from a few other buildings nearby.  One of my coworkers was up on the observation deck the night before and has a few pictures from that night, kinda creepy.  All my tools were left on site as I was due back after vacation and were all lost as was much of the equipment our team had.  Goldman had also just signed off the day before the attack on a million dollar project we had finished in one of the smaller buildings on the WTC site.  This one did not fall but was condemned and torn down.  I stopped working for the company 6 months later and have never been back to New York.

well boys... i think we just ferreted out our first suspect!  get a rope.

You will never find me.  I am in the secret Fuhrer Bunker with Cheney. ;D Oh damn, didn't Biden just spill the beans on the location?

It would have to be a massive plot involving hundreds of people.
Al Quaeda isn't a massive plot involving hundreds of people?   ???

My point being with so many people involved to carry off something like this some one would eventually talk or be exposed in some way.  Just as some but not all the the Al Quaeda planners were.

I wish I believed all the bit#ing in the world would make the truth come out.

so its #$%*ing when 700+ architects and engineers demand a reinvestigation because they know what they see w/ their own 2 eyes and its not what we've been told?

That is fine. I agree with that.

It's bit$hing because who is going to twist the government's arm into telling us the truth? Surely not the people, we haven't been a democracy since ol' Washington was in office. For the people by big brother, that's the name of the game. Keep it up, it's what they want you to do.

We haven't figured out who really killed Kennedy yet have we?

And don't give me that lame-assed Oswald killed him baloney, if you look at the facts there is no way Oswald could have killed him. Crappy old Bolt action Italian rifle you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with.

I would dare to say that more than 2 people kept that secret to the grave.

Actually friend-o. That rifle he had, I would dare to say, can rival the accuracy of an M-16. I've shot both from 500 yards, both are lethally accurate. I also know that the further back you get the less power and accuracy an m-16 has. It's intended effective range is up close and personal. That "crappy old bolt action Italian rifle you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with" is primitive and has a lot more power and accuracy from a distance than an m-16. Not trying to kill your theory, just talking guns here strictly.

it's not that i don't believe in conspiracies, it's just that it's not my default assumption. i'm not implying that's what's going on here, but i think that group think is pervasive on the 'other' side regarding the black helicopter fantasies. where's agent mulder when ya need him??!!  ::)

my buddy's pop got one of those italian jobs right after jfk was done in. i've never done more than hold the rifle but he was sorta impressed with the weapon.

also, i noted how dd sited the one part of chomsky's speech that supports his assertion.  :D

not saying the "truth" isn't possible folks, but some speak as though it's a settled fact. hardly.

Dude that's the way to argue. You ignore all the other perfectly good facts and use what some one just said against them. It's not a GOOD way to do it, but it's the way that works more often that not. I am not attacking Dukie either, the government does it all the time. Did you watch those Town Hall format debates? Some times the other guy would just completely make stuff up and say it came out of the others mouth. It's very effective in our rittalin ADD culture.

yeah man, the way the "debates" are conducted are an insult and i'm finally fed up. for the first time in my life i'm becoming an activist, as if i don't have enough cr@p going on. i know i'm opening myself to ridicule but i support the tea party movement. any gop suit in dc thinking they've got it made because of the revolts, are in for one honking surprise; lots of ron paul loyalists and non- right wing extremists are pstdoffed about the way these morons are hosing all of us. and kool aid lefties dismissing them likewise do them selves a disservice. there are many on the left who do support this thing, they get it.

Bah,

Ecosse quotes the ONE INTELLIGENT THING that Chomsky ever said -- I SAY "WOO HOO!!!"

Why doesn't Chomsky just come out and say that the biggest beneficiary of terrorism is BIG GOVERNMENT, rather than using euphemisms like "power systems"?

If you take Chomsky's thinking just one step further, the left-wing is much more likely to have perpetrated the conspiracy, since BIG GOVERNMENT is what the left has always promoted.  Don't forget, true CONSERVATIVES HATE BIG GOVERNMENT.  Some of the leftists here may be surprised to learn that many true conservatives are unhappy with GWB due to the excessive government spending and the vast expansion of government that occured during his presidency.  A good conservative would have put an end to the ridiculous sub-prime lending that caused the recession, too.

Of course, the left could have easily funded Al Qaeda and directed them to commit the attacks on September 11, 2001 as well as the planned attack on the Sears Tower, Fort Dix, etc.  That actually seems to make a whole lot of sense, with the republican president having been in office at the time.  As we also know, the Obama administration enjoys flying airplanes over Manhattan at low altitudes.

Come to think of it, Chomsky is wrong about just about everything else, so I'm starting to think there's something to this conspiracy theory stuff. ;D ;D ;D

Ecosse quotes the ONE INTELLIGENT THING that Chomsky ever said -- I SAY "WOO HOO!!!"

Why doesn't Chomsky just come out and say that the biggest beneficiary of terrorism is BIG GOVERNMENT, rather than using euphemisms like "power systems"? because big gov. is the problem to all our answe... no, wait!(ecosse)

A good conservative would have put an end to the ridiculous sub-prime lending that caused the recession, too. even big spender gw and others did try to address it only to be shot down by some, ehem, other folks. again, as a mass. resident i'd like to say sorry for bawny fwank. masterstroke ed.  8)

not only is the size of the government a problem but the fact that they are non-representing representatives. this must... will, end. the dems and gop by and large don't care about any of us. i'm not one of these politically cynical types but even i have come to grips about this and it's coming to a head across the 'states. as much as i disagree with the far left, the pressing issue is the fed. btw: they're quite happy when we fight among our selves.
