Some people have too much time on their hands! Bunch of Eff'ing children on these forums lately and it is starting to wear very thin!...  IF YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY FOR BEING A MEMBER HERE IS NOT TO ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY THEN F-OFF!!!

  If I might use your quote Dennis and add my own thought-
   There is a small newer group of low content/high post members here who  (I believe) have  negatively changed the flavour of the forum. That  would be the half dozen or so Myspace types who chat constantly and compulsively about and between themselves and inevitably turn the threads and conversations of others into personal exposees of their every precious thought and feeling. I'm sure it's all very interesting to them, but I wonder how many other members find it so. Those self centred blathers jewels of insight are best saved for your personal blogs. I for one find the constant trivializing and monopolizing of threads to be damn irritating.
  The SOHC membership is broad based and a certain level of personal detachment and attention to the good of the group is healthy. The excessive self-indulgence is not. Every one of us has a balance between post volume and helpful/meaningful content.
   BTW,  probably most of these children will grow up to be fine adults. 

Kinda why I have been staying away.  This was and still is for the most part a forum of grownups and one of the most comprehensive and navigable forums period.  I only hope that the newer members can respect this and not muck up the board with a bunch of junior high pissing contest.

I'm all about talking #$%* and acting dorky. I just think personal attacks and baiting other forum members into arguments is boring and not a good way to use this site.  With that being said, I just farted and made myself cry while bunny hopping my 750 BEOTCHES!

I heard from Fuzzy via Facebook today and he wanted folks to know that it wasn't him posting on this thread, as some have suspected.

He also would like Ed to know that he doesn't have a problem with him, and that his problem was with rhos.

Hmmm.....  seems to me, if he packed up his ball and went home, then it doesn't matter WHAT he wants others to know.  If he wants others to know something, he should come on here and tell it.  Not delete his account in, what appears to this admittedly ignorant-of-the-full-situation person, a fit of pique.

 If a person is disgusted with the forum then they should leave quietly. There's no need to openly start a thread to display your disgust that you feel towards the forum and announce your departure. This forum was here before you got here and it will be here after you leave.

This is a first and foremost a motorcycle forum where we come and discuss SOHC Honda motorcycles. If you dont like a thread/member....move onto the next post. Easy. If you are the type of person who is easily offended by others then perhaps a public internet forum is not the place for you. Not everyone will share your opinion.

This Forum has been around in some form or other for 10+ years and will continue to be (I hope!) for a lot longer. If you like it, then stay and contribute your knowledge, experience, passion for SOHC motorcycles. We are lucky to have so many enthusiastic and knowledgeable members here willing to share their hard-earned experiences....For the all other notes of interest about daily life there is an Open forum and Shameless thread to waste your time in.

What I find funny though are the people that figure they are the old timers and yet get just as yappy as anyone else. Sometimes they are even worse as some of them feel that their opinion is more important that someone else's they barely know. I have been on here a short time and for the most part, have not really insulted anyone. There are some long term members that cannot say the same thing.

Another thing that is funny are those that ignore other members. Why? I guess those are the people saying to others to have thicker skin but they themselves do not have to.

People here seem to be forgetting that it goes both ways. You expect others to be thick skinned towards your comments but maybe you need to be more tolerant of other opinions. We are not on a freeway or interstate, we are on a 2 lane highway. Courtesy is needed on BOTH sides.

I feel free to ignore people I don't want to deal with because I know I'm one of those people that can and probably will be goaded into a long and stupid discussion/argument with someone who doesn't really warrant my attention.  Hitting 'ignore' is an easy way for me to just bypass all of that.  I also don't just ignore *everyone* I have disagreements with- I only ignore people who have proven to me they have no redeeming value to an overwhelming majority of their posts.
