Well, I have to say, that if I didn't get along with someone on as great a site as this, I'd tell em let's play Hide and Go #$%* Yourself, and move on to the next thread.
You can't get along with everyone all the time. That doesn't mean you remove yourself from valuable assets.
No.

Some people have too much time on their hands! Bunch of Eff'ing children on these forums lately and it is starting to wear very thin!...  IF YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY FOR BEING A MEMBER HERE IS NOT TO ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE POSITIVELY THEN F-OFF!!!

If I might use your quote Dennis and add my own thought-
There is a small newer group of low content/high post members here who  (I believe) have  negatively changed the flavour of the forum. That  would be the half dozen or so Myspace types who chat constantly and compulsively about and between themselves and inevitably turn the threads and conversations of others into personal exposees of their every precious thought and feeling. I'm sure it's all very interesting to them, but I wonder how many other members find it so. Those self centred blathers jewels of insight are best saved for your personal blogs. I for one find the constant trivializing and monopolizing of threads to be damn irritating.
The SOHC membership is broad based and a certain level of personal detachment and attention to the good of the group is healthy. The excessive self-indulgence is not. Every one of us has a balance between post volume and helpful/meaningful content.
BTW,  probably most of these children will grow up to be fine adults.  :D

And yet I notice you manage to post in most of the threads you so readily denounce, so perhaps there is a level of entertainment value there for you as well? ;)

Ok so I did some deep breathing exercises and am back...that and I couldn't find Fuzzy's house so drinking his beer was out of the equation!

A couple of quick thoughts and I will leave this thread where it belongs (ignored)

First of all, my issue wasn't with Fuzzy and his announcing that he is leaving. I for one want to know when a person leaves. This serves two reasons:first, hopefully we can learn why a contributing member has chosen to leave and secondly I know they chose to leave and didn't (thankfully) meet with some horrific accident and are just no longer able to post. I was annoyed with the BS activities of recreating a profile so that a person could pretend to be someone they are not (although I suppose that is what many people feel the internet is for) btw, this is the second time in a few weeks that I have seen this! I have NEVER seen it in the 2 or so years that I have been hanging out here!

Secondly, MLinder, for a guy with a weird Pirate Fetish you are very insightful. I need to learn to just ignore the people who push my buttons and not cut off my nose to spite my face! Having said that, Laminar if you have noticed that you are being ignored by another member I will save you the suspense of guessing who it is!

Third, I don't mind the mindless blathering in controlled doses. Heck, that is why the SPBT or SBPT thread was created!! I have even been known to drop in every so often and throw my 2 cents in. There are some great people in that thread...and ofcourse, like any other other thread, some who just annoy me! I personally would just like to see it contained. But that is a total aside from why this thread and the reasons behind it pushed my buttons.

I think what everyone seems to forget here is that while you may be irritated by someone, you can bet you also irritate someone. Everything goes both ways and the more people you get, the more varied the points of view. I know everyone likes to think they are right but few seem to admit when they are wrong. I noticed I am ignored by a member. Oh well, must be someone who doesn't like other points of view that do not match his or hers. I am so hurt. ::)

I just hope that fuzz sticks around. That is whats important here.

Great detective work, Schmthaus is correct. I wanted to see if someone could create a new user with the same username as a deleted account. Turns out you can.

My deepest apologies to anyone that was confused or offended by my antics.

I hadn't noticed, but thanks for the heads up!

I've never before been a member of a forum of people with such thin skin.

My experience has been that those who jump on other first are usually the thin skins. I also base this on my step father who has about as thin a skin possible and yet is a huge assshole. He sure likes to dish it out but if he even think someone is looking at him wrong, the skin breaks open and out pours his vitriol.
