Bike dies if I blip the throttle
« on: June 12, 2009, 01:46:58 PM »
I have a 75 cb750 with pods and 4-4 exhaust. It was running lean so I just rejetted to 130's and the air screws are 1.5 turns out. The rejetting really helped, no more popping and surging power. But now If I blip the throttle from idle the bike dies. If I accelerate slowly it pulls smoothly to red line. Do I need to lean out the air screws just a bit more? im guessing its rich and im flooding it out by giving it too much to fast.

also if I let it idle it likes to increase the rpms on its own.

yes it could be running to rich so when u blip the throttle its flooding it. also I would guess at idle its getting to much fuel so its raising the rpms to clean it out but don't know for sure. try leaning it out a bit.
Keep it shinny side up.

A plug chop might be a good idea before you adjust anything.

Sounds a bit rich, check the plug color after just idling like WFO said
