I do too. I have one float that catches on the float bowl and drips out the overflow.

Hmm lets see. I hate...nothing! But then I have not had to pull the engine yet! It starts every time. Idles well. Doesn't leak if I leave the gas on. As for people, well that has nothing to do with the bike. Some people are just annoying!

Noisy centerstand flopping around while riding. It makes me think the engine is falling apart and I've replaced the spring with little improvement.

Yeah Vin I'm in the same boat

The only things I really hate are:
 1)  I only get 55 mpg...yes 55 mpg consistently.
 2) having to talk about it so much at the local coffee shop

Cheap factory chrome plating (if you can call it chrome) on fenders, rims, exhaust pipes, fork ears, handlebars, tail light bracket, mirrors and the various mounting bolts that all rust up very easy.

I'm just guessing here - Looks like Honda chrome was just a flash nickel plate. Does anyone know?

Well, I have been thinking about this question.  When I want a bike to start immediately, go scary fast or stop scary fast I take out my Ducati.  When I want to enjoy the experience of classic bike riding I take out a SOHC.  Most of the time I ride one of these delightful 4s.  Oh yes,  I hate the Honda ignition coils.  Honda never recognized that someone might want to replace 30 year old high tension wires.

I've noticed that, too.  I tend to turn on my gas as soon as I get to my bike, then fiddle around with my helmet/side bags, just packing stuff up or whatever, let the gas fill the carb bowls

Do your carb bowls empty themselves when you turn off your bike?

1. I hate the crappy clear coat on all Aluminum surfaces. 

2. I hate sanding the crappy clearcoat off.

3. I hate when I change the oil, I get it all over my exhaust headers... They are exhaust wrapped and the oil soaks in a sticks when running.

4.I am not happy about not being able to see the guages at night... too dim. Wish I could fix that.

Other than that - I love em!

I'm amazed that they are still in these old bikes -that is the first thing I would have replaced from stock, maybe that is the reason - can't get the damn things out!

2nd the clear coat on the aluminum! Man that stuff sucks big nuts!

Hate it that more and more 550 parts are being made of unobtainium, even aftermarket.  side covers, 4-4 exhausts...

re: the phillips head screws, I drilled all of em out of the 550 when I did it up. replaced all of the with Stainless Steel button head allen head screws... Much easier to remove , and you can use a 4mm T allen wrench..

The can be rounded over if you go to far , I am not sure they need t be as tight, (torqued down as much), as we think they are when we are tightening them. I tend to go too far somethimes.

Kinda like when some mechanics tighten down lugnuts to what seems like 300 ft/pounds when they roatate the tires... I just dont see the sense in that.

There's lots of sense.  No way can you get those buggers off unless you go back to them.

i hate the fact that when my frame cam back from the powder coater it was so beutiful that i had to wet sand the the already polished cam cover so it would look as good. It also made me paint the bottom of the motor........... yeah the bottom. So now everthing is taking twice as long.

I hate the chrome some dummy put on the beautiful aluminum. It is now peeling off. It would be a lot easier to polish some aluminum than fix this.

I love the fact that so many different model / year parts interchange. I hate the fact that someone interchanged all the parts on my 70.
