cb750 suspension settings
« on: November 10, 2005, 12:25:18 AM »
Hi, I got my 750f with rear springs set to the highest compresion and after-market air valves installed in the forks..
I would like to experiment with settings, can someone advise me what to look for ?  I weight 160 lbs ...
Also, I do not have a special wrench to adjust the rear springs .. Do I need to get one or can I use something more generic?

Thanks !  -Serge
if it ain't broken it does not have enough features yet..

I'm afraid you're flogging a dead horse Serge, if these are OEM original shocks.

If you want decent handling and want to play with settings, get some modern shocks from Ikon (Koni), Hagon or Progressive

There's a "C" spanner in the standard Honda toolkit for the shocks.

I found however, that trying to adjust my Hagons was so tough that the spanner kept springing off and denting my knuckles...  (managed in the end though - middle setting of 5 works best for one-up riding)
