Ok... I had a set of old rusty 4-4 that I got from the PO with the purchase of my 76 CB550K.
I am midway through (4-2), after merging the 1-2 headers, and 3-4. Here are some pics. I don't know if my merging/transition is the best or sufficient for all that matters. Maybe some of you may give some advice.
Tacking the merge...

Under the oil pan (plug and oil filter accessible)

Right hand clearance...

Oh, specs on the config...
1-2 merged, and 3-4 merged.
Lengths of the primaries... ~13 inches.
Diameters of the primary, and secondary (I think my terminology is correct)... 1-1/4" OD. I was planning of merging the 2-1, with the outlet 2". I am mating up against a R6 exhaust that I got for FREE from a guy on CL.
I had kept in mine that I wasn't going to make the best header. But I wanted to give it a go, since I had the pipes laying around. And I figure if they did come out good, it would be just gravy.
And lastly the good thing... I haven't spent any money.

And only spent a whole day.
Things that I would like know...
Is this config to constrictive? My goal wasn't performance, but I don't want to get worst.
Are the primaries too short? 13"?
