CB350 Clutch Cover Question
« on: June 05, 2009, 01:40:25 PM »
Sorry in advance if this is on the forum somewhere (I couldn't find it). I tried to remove the clutch cover on my 71 CB350 and it seems to be stuck. I was able to get all the bolts off with an impact driver, removed the nut on the adjuster as well as the linkage. The cover is still on pretty good even after tapping with a rubber mallet. Do I need to unscrew the threaded adjuster bolt (I started too but didn't want to break anything). I want to replace the clutch cable. What am I missing? ???

I'm assuming you took off the gear lever. It's probably another screw on the underside that you didn't see. It happens sometimes. I don't think you have to take off the adjuster.

Yeah, I thought of that but I removed all of the bolts and the lever. So, besides the bolts and the lever there's nothing else to remove? I'll have another go at it tomorrow. :-\

It was just a minor adjustment (gotta love these old bikes). Now after adjusting the carbs, cleaning/adjusting the points and setting the timing she runs like a champ ;D
