Johnny ,you will have to say "I accept the nomination" if you wanna run this month.... ;) ;)

Thanks for the help... I hate always havin' to be the stickler... but, if the rules state it, I pretty much gotta follow 'em.   ;)
Although, if someone posts in the thread w/ pictures or a description of their bike after they've been nominated... I tend to let them off the hook because that rule is more to weed out the members that never set foot in the BOTM threads and don't seem to care about them.

that rule is more to weed out the members that never set foot in the BOTM threads and don't seem to care about them.

that's good thinking. :)  otherwise we'd have all these 'winners' and not only would nobody know, nobody would care.

again, all the bikes are great; says something about the sohc huh? stock, updated hybrid, repli-racer, bobber, etc...

our bikes are...  awesome!!!

Hopefully aussie's has not won anything yet here.  I want to nominate this one.

OK, here's those pics I promised.  It's an early diecast VIN 12xxx.  I bought it in '75 from the original owner.  It was completely original at that time except for a 4-1 exhaust.  I rode it until '91.  It then sat until '98 when I picked up a K2 that I was going to use for parts.  I was going to swap out the 4-cable carbs, use the pipes, seat and a few other pieces.  Well I got the engine out and got sidetracked and it sat until 2 years ago.  Decided I either had to do something with it or get rid of it.  Fortunately I discovered this forum.  Slowly I learned that I had something pretty special with the K0 and decided to keep it original and not use the parts from the K2.  It was completely disassembled.  With the help of this forum I did everything except the paint and rechrome (even relaced the wheels myself).  I hated the polishing.  The paint was done by Blake Conway, the guy who does the paint for Vic World's sandcast restorations.  He also did the Candy Red for my sandcast (which is apart right now).  Everything is correct from the balls in the steering to the smallest cotter pin except (don't tell anyone) I did put APE studs in to help prevent oil leaks.  Every spring, piece of rubber, seals, etc., has been replaced.  I got it finished about 2 months ago.  I put gas in it and it turned over for about 4 seconds and fired right up.  The only things wrong with it was a small drip from one of the float bowl drain screws and the left turn signals didn't work.  Tighten up the screw and a bulb and it was perfect.  It ran pretty good but I did sync the carbs and now it runs great.  Thanks to everyone on the forum who helped me out, I couldn't have done it without.

What a great way to make use of the stock bar clamps for the gauges with the clip ons.

Hey Mark,

When are you going to get a K1 to round out the collection? :) ;)

I Vote for the stock 750....awesome looking.
Thanks for the compliment.  I'm up against some stiff competition here.  Being a biker from the late '60's I've always liked the cafe look and there's a couple of really nice ones this month.  Thought about doing that to the K0 but I'm glad I didn't now.

I thought about getting a K1 too but I'm thinking of getting rid of the K2.  Actually what I would like to get is a later candy gold K0 after seeing Johnie's gold K1.  What a great color.  Then I could have one of each of the first three colors.
