1973 cb350 four rejetting question
« on: June 02, 2009, 10:34:06 pm »
I got cb350f couple of months ago, this one was not complete

I couldn't find original air box so I got four separate k&n type cones, I did clean and rebuilt carbs got all new gaskets and jets for them

my question is, should I try to start the bike without any modifications, should I lift the needle one step?

any of you installed air cones in cb350f?

thank you

You might have to do some testing with that setup.  There are jet kits available to play around with.  I think Sirius Inc has them, and you can find them on eBay.  From what I have seen, you are looking to move up to an 80 or 85 main jet for pods.  I'm sure someone else will reply with more info.

Once you change from the stock airbox...its problematic.

You'll wind up jetting for your specific application.....exhaust, pods, etc.

Just moving your needle up will not compensate for the pods.

The 350 is sensitive to jetting issues....

It has to be right or they don't make power and run like crap.

I've just went through this with my 350.  Pods and 4 into 2's.  I currently have the stock needle position with 85's installed.  It runs and pulls great from about 4k>.  Idle to 4, seems a bit sluggish.  I'm just now playing with the air screw settings.  Currently out 1 1/8 turn.

90's seemed to run sweet up top, the only reason I went down to 85's was it would die if I really wacked the throttle from idle.
