struts for my Honda
« on: March 23, 2010, 06:40:59 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get a set of adjustable, or even non adjustable struts for a Honda CB550? I'm chopping mine here pretty soon and was going to go with a weld on hardtail, but I thought this would be an easier route to pursue. I know I can have them made, but I was just curious if anyone knew where to buy some. Thanks

get some good strong steel barstock and cut them to length and drill.

Thanks bucky katt. I think that's my only option. I have cousin-in-law who owns and operates Prison City Choppers and has agreed to help me with my build in any way he can. He's got a lathe, and a mill which should be all we need. I know a company from years past called Cir-Cycle used to make motorcycle struts. I just couldn't find any companies online that currently manufacture any. Well, after I get my title in the mail the bike goes straight to my in-laws shop. When I finish it I'll try to post some pics.
