Tell him good luck with that!  Not only will it take A LOT more time and effort to make more money by parting it out, but with that many separate parts, he will inevitably have to deal with at least a couple of deadbeat bidders, and then have the hassle of going through eBay to get his final value fees refunded.  Not to mention the handfull of buyers that bid on a used part and expect to get a part in new condition, and then want a full refund plus refunded shipping or they'll post a negative feedback, and then still post a negative anyway.  Obviously this guy hasn't sold on eBay much, if at all.  And if that's the case, he probably won't get top dollar on most of the parts, because buyers tend to be more wary of bidding on items from brand new sellers.

The motor might be worth 3 alone but it weighs around 200 lbs so it will have to be for pick up only to avoid atronomiical shipping charges.  Locally or nearby, this time of year, he may not get the 3 that he thinks the motor is worth.  If the bike is worth his original asking price, take cash back and wave it under his nose.  He may, with some careful negotiations, change his mind and sell you the bike.  He's obviously the type of person who doesn't know when it's truely time to part a bike and when it's time to restore/refurbish a bike.  The kind that kills a machine that deserves to be left on the road.   :'(

Thats what I kinda told him. So, I smiled shook his hand and said thanks but no thanks. But I can make it go away today for your advertised price. He didnt want to do it. Oh well I look at as his loss.

Most motors are lucky to sell for $100 and that is only if your winning bidder happens to be near by otherwise you are stuck with it. I know as I have several CB750F motors sitting. 3 to be exact.

After thinking about it and reviewing everything it needed. It's not worth the $300 he is asking.
