Carb Float ID with Pic

See pic...can you tell me when the brass floats on the left were switched to the plastic ones on the right?  My KO and K1 have the brass.  Not sure if it will help, but the brass one came from a set of carbs with #120 jets and the black came from a set with #105 jets.  Can either float be run on either jet?  And can I mix these brass and plastic floats on 1 set of 4 carbs or should I stick with one or the other? Why all the questions...I am thinking of putting an extra set of K1 carbs on my KO so I can adjust the fast idle on the fly.  Plus, it will sure be easier to keep them in sync.

Honda used the brass float (part No 16122-259-014) up to CB750E-1114476.
This part has now been superceded to part no 16013-286-014 (also brass), and was still available.
IMHO go for the later plastic floats. I have had a few brass floats that have leaked/sunk due to old solder.I have never had a problem with the plastic ones.
Either float can be used on either jet.
