Finally! My bike is finished...
« on: June 02, 2009, 05:13:04 pm »
...for the year...that is. I mean, really, what bike is ever really finished anyway? For more details on the build, you can click the link in my signature. I got the seat pan from Sean over at Roc City Cafe. I did the foam (used gardener kneel pads from the Meijer lawn and garden section) The seat is firm but very comfy. I used Marine grade vinyl all around and used the seat strap from my stock seat. I think it adds a nice touch.

Here's the before picture when I got the bike last fall:

And now:

More Pics:

The exhaust is a Mac header with an exhaust mini muffler I made myself. Thanks to this site for the help with the baffle. I promise to post a video of the bike running very soon. The exhaust tip is from Meijers...I seem to find a lot of my materials there. :D

My crankcase breather filter. I found this cool filter at Autozone. I ground the rubber connection on the backside enough to fit the crankcase breather tube over. The bracket is from my centerstand Im not using.

Thanks for reading and thanks to those who've helped me over the winter/spring with my first cafe build.

+1 J5!   You've put lots off cool custom touches into your build, and it came out great.  Wish me luck on mine.

Good job. I like the mini muffler. I'm planning on getting the Mac exhaust for my 400 and that muffler would be a nice touch.

Thanks fellas. This bike is a freakin rush. I took it up to the redline for the first time and really had to dig my heels into the pegs to stay on. Fun stuff.

I still have yet to take my 06 Vulcan out of storage.... :D
