Curious story about one of my bikes
« on: June 04, 2009, 03:29:13 PM »

This is me on one of my '82 spanish-made Sanglas 400cc bike. The red one besides is also mine. Their frame numbers are only seven units apart, probably both bikes left the factory the very same day.

But the main character of this story is neither me nor the bikes. It is this man:

His name is Juan Carlos and, even when we have been in contact for several months, we have met each other today. Both of us have taken a ride on either bike, me in the blue one, he on the red one.

The red bike was his back in the day. He sold it in 1987. He had ridden it again today, after 22 years. Although the shortcomings of such an old bike, he has enjoyed the blast from the past. According to him, even the smell of the bike brought him memories of he good ol' days!

We have taken a lot of pictures, that I've already sent him, so he can keep memories of this fine afternoon...

It's really cool to  share the same pleasures with older/ younger people.
It's strange that almost nothing else would bring us together.
Kinda like finding the house you grew up in and getting to take a tour.
Congrats!
