Here it is guys. As promised, the 'done' photos. Glad to finally be riding it.

And the two girls together:

There we go. I dig it. I'm happy with how it turned out. Questions/comments? Go right ahead.

Steve

P.S. Have more pictures too, and intend to get some rolling shots soon. So let me know if there are any requests.

how about a shot from rear over head 3/4 view? almost as though the viewer is about to get on.

nice choice for the seat color. it compliments the livery. how does it ride?

Thanks guys. I'm very pleased with how it came out. Ecosse, here are a few shots for ya. Hope they are what you're looking for, plus a few extras...

I also thought this was really interested. Saw this on a TV program, this is after I had painted everything, and was just finishing up the seat. It's the first Yamaha production motorcycle(if I remember the program correctly). The resemblance is uncanny. I did not plan it, didn't even know the bike existed until I saw it on the tube, nor do I know how I accomplished such a thing. My dad says I'm channeling dead and gone Yamaha designers...who knew?

Pretty cool though. My jaw about hit the floor when I saw it on the program. I think it's the YA-1 or something like that. But I must've looked pretty dumb gawking at the TV and then running out to look at my own bike to make sure I wasn't just hallucinating..  :D

Hey, guys, thanks for all the props so far, but one last thing. What do you guys think would be a fair price for this bike? Something has come up and I am relocating back to FL, and am considering my options as far as raising a bit of funding. Consider that I have a ridiculous amount of spare parts. Jets for the carb, spare block/head/jugs/lots of other useless(in my opinion) stock items, that would go with the bike. What do you guys think?

I have always had a soft spot for the mighty XS-650 and yours is a fine example of the model.....excellent work.

What size/brand/type of tires are you running. I love those. I'd like to put a big beef front tire on my CB750K. How does it affect handling?

looking at the tread and shape of those tyres i would think they would track poorly and follow any lines or undulations on the road, definitely not a performance tyre, looks only.

They are Firestones from Coker. There is another option out there that looks similar and are much cheaper, but I can't remember who makes them at this moment..

But the handling is what you'd expect from a bike that is like 3 inches lower than stock on both ends and weighs an outrageous amount. It turns just fine, but don't be expecting to get your knee on the ground anytime soon. There is a reason tire design has changed over the years. But I don't need another carver, that is what the white death machine is for.

Sizes, front is a 19x4.00, rear is a 16x5.00.

No input on a price point for her?
