Watch it there KGhost.  Someone might just "ignore" you.  And wouldn't that be a shame.

My beef with him in regards to this issue was that it showed a complete lack of respect for our mods and ultimately the board (although the mods are even more important the board itself). Creating dual identities etc merely creates additional work for them and in my opinion they ALL already do far more than what they should have to do.

Maybe I coulda PM'ed him with my thoughts but to be honest there has been a bunch of this stuff lately  and I find it frustrating to say the least. I have since eaten lots of fibre and mellowed out...somewhat at least.

And maybe you've missed some of his other work.  I can't seem to find it now, but it was a thread someone started about not understanding the appeal of "rat bikes".

So what if he started something in ratbike whatever. Who here hasn't? I mean I doubt anyone, even someone new like me, can claim to have not started something. Even something minor. I mean i have seen plenty of people insult others over minor things, even you 333 and dennis. Heck I am sure I have too in some way. The difference is knowing it and cutting slack on minor things. It is the whole "if you cant take it, dont dish it" thing. ;)

VB, None of us are perfect although some seem to love to stir #$%*e far more than the rest of us. Having been here for a few years and having more than a handful of posts I assure I am at the low end of that spectrum! And I guess it depends on your version of minor....as is always the case perspective is everything.

It is but people have to realize that no one is innocent when it comes to stirring the pot. Besides, there are more important things in life to get upset over. Some person raising a little hell on a forum is not one of those things.

At the risk of beating this dead horse further I will make one more comment and then forget that this thread ever existed (with the exception of Fuzzy being back!!)

I agree that there are more important things in life. But what got my back up was not an insult to me directly. It was someone being childish and creating additional work for the mods. They are people too...not just some sort of cyber police that doesn't really exist. It takes time for them to run this board and I take great offence to those that feel their time and effort has no value and freely creates an additional account. The mods then have to take the time to authorize it and when abuse is reported they need to investigate it! I will say it again...it was CHILDISH and thoughtless. That is a little different than just offending someone through miscommunication.

There...enough said!!!

I'll tell you what gets my panties in a twist, is that people only do this stuff so that a thread like this will turn into an 80 page testiment to how ignorant they are, and really it's just because they are attention whores, they'll take it good or bad.... it's sad really.

I can't say it better. :D but just don't look in the mirror! ;D

Dennis, I understand, really I do. The mods however are more than capable of nipping it on their own. your being upset and making additional waves does not make it any easier. Obviously this is not a factor if pm is used. given we have what, 3 mods for over 4000 members, I bet a lot of sites wish they had it so easy.

The reason the mods have it "so easy" is that we all take ownerahip of the site. I like to think that this site is a reflection of all it's members and one acts like a knob I get upset. Not unlike my own family (albeit to a significantly lesser degree).

Damn it I just got suckered in again...ok no more posting starting now!  ;)

No more baiting, was not trying to actually. Just straight up conversation. if I was going to bait, there would have been insults which you then would be obligated to combat! ;D
I believe that a person needs to police themselves though, I try to but I understand some cant. Laminars little fake fuzzy thing was an irritant but no big deal. i never saw the ratbike one so maybe I should check it out. I could be wrong on this one, hey at least I can admit a mistake :D

Despite what this one has the ratbike thread was hilarious (at least to me) from start to finish.

It's a good read and well worht seeking out. Lots of hardlined people in that one!!  ;D

I have been going through it a bit. Some people sure have concrete thoughts about things with no ability to be flexible.
