78 550K shifter seal/hard shifting
« on: June 06, 2009, 12:15:56 AM »
Posting this up for my bud whom I'll be helping fix this problem. Bike leaks from shifter seal and requires what seems to me an inordinate amount of pressure to shift between gears. Three questions: what is involved with replacing the seal, and could the leak and hard shifting be related, and could this be an indication of a larger problem? Thanks from both of us.

Seal is an easy fix but will have no effect on the shifting problem, if clutch is adjusted correctly you have another problem
