I can't find it, and I also can't remember exactly who did it, but virtually the same thing happened in '85.  It was either Wayne Rainey or Freddie Spencer.  The tank slapper started and the rider was looking at the front fender, with his feet almost straight up in the air.  He didn't ride on his knees, more like he ski'd after his feet came down.  He went off road to the left, regained control, hopped back on and came right, back on the pavement.
