In Norway you can buy a  kit , but it demand that have high regulation on the light and that you have  Light-Washer(like windows washer) because of the heat of the  Xenon  bulb's to protect the ligth glas(plastic) from thing to  burn :o fast on the out side of the light glass
(Al thing goes easier now whit Google ABC check ;D)

On the original reflector there was park light VOLVO 164 have not park light in the reflector, I remove also the cup that protect the lamp in the middle (inside) of the reflector to get better light , and it did in did  help .
Do this help ?

I have been following this post from the start.
Lots to read , and better yet lots of great information. ;D

So , all in all , what is the best aftermarket H4 conversion headlight
to go with for these bikes ? My sealed beam has to go , I am tired of
riding by candlelight ;D

Someone mentioned that the guys over at the rice paddy sell a conversion kit.
Am I better off going the automotive route for the housing , and then just get a H4 bulb ?
What is the best bang for the buck when it comes to these lights ?

Pro...You should try to locate a bike lens. They have a different beam pattern from auto lenses. A bike lens will give you a better view of the road. denniskirk and jcwhitney both have conversion kits I think, but I can't vouch for either. I have a Stanley on mine which is a huge upgrade over what was on the bike when I got it. Can't tell you how it compares to others though some people seem to think there are better options.

One thing to mention about the HID which makes them almost impossible to use on motorcycles is that they HATE vibration.. That and the bulb usually costs anywhere from $80-$100 USD and in most kits are only available in LOW BEAM ONLY.. The cars you see that have HID usually have a completely seperate fixture for high beams.. only really high end vehicles have combination high beam/low beam HID and they are $$$$$

For cars though.. you can get a complete H4 HID low beam kit for around $200 USD..

Best bet for a motorcycle is a Halogen H4 fixture with a Silvania Silverstar bulb (Bulb is around $15-$20 USD).. VERY VERY BRIGHT PURE WHITE LIGHT (I have them on all my vehicles)

Marshall  :o did also produced lenses, but what is the  the best ,  I realy don`t no .
If you should go for the best and money no problem ,The Xenon lamp conversion  demand that you have light washer and high regulator , it possible for modern New bikes  ,  then out on the road if the bulb goes out there :o.
WHERE  should you get a new one ???,
My best opinion  are go for the H4 there are different`s versions of thees to  3 >4 color  and there are 2 versions of the legal versions  you have the +20% and +50% brighter  then you get it in gold and blue and an Xenon color type.
When you upgrades  to Halogen bulb you must upgrade your wiring also , to get the best result.
See  http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php?topic=2380.msg19193#msg19193

If this can  help you on the road to get a brighter light .

I have don it on my CB750 K7 ;D[/color]¨'
Car also have heavy vibration's  :o,  as you  now you   ;)
Of the nonlegal version you get-what ever money can buy  ???
