Dyna 3 ignition dead?
« on: November 08, 2005, 03:29:01 PM »
Hello all.  Turns out that the yellow wire coming out of my dyna 3 ignition module was pinched between the seat and the bolt that grounded the module.  Today it finally rubbed through, and now whichever coil is attached to the yellow wire won't fire.    Both coils fire off of the blue wire and all the connections are clean and tight.

Is the module  truly dead?

Does anyone know of a bench test procedure?

Is replacing it the only option?  And if so, is the dyna s any better or worse (it's substantially cheaper).

Thanks.

The Dyna S is nice because the whole works is contained under the points cover.

See my email Jorge, Dynatek can probably repair it, or provide you with a new module, up to you, if you decide to "chuck" it, and buy a new "S", then chuck it my way, one of my guys is a technician who can fix anything! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
