down and dirty, man... nice.

so, tell me, is that SS tank original to the bike or did you retrofit?  I have a 71 that i'm modifying ... i finally got to do some work on it today - included mocking up the "new" SStank, pulling off the old cables and hoses, mounting the new black drag bars and a couple of other things - where did you get your bars? what are you thinking of doing with the exhaust? i've never seen anybody paint a 4-to-4 black...i've got open outswept pipes on mine.

Tank and seat are from Glass From the Past http://www.all-digital.net/gftp/stock.htm  ...Bret was great to work with, he cut the seat down 6" before apolstering.  The bars are just clubman sports from Old Bike Barn...I may get deeper drop clubmans though.  As for the exhaust, I have always likes the 4-to4 pipes but these had a pretty rough finish and some scrapes so I painted them...I will go over them again with a more satin black when it warms up.

Bike looks grerat, black is always a great color choice on these bikes  ;D

Just took a quick look on that glass from the past website..
Which seat did you end up picking up from them ? They seem to have
lots of different ones that look similar...
How did it fit ? Did it bolt-up to the stock hindges ? I want the best fit
I can get, while retaining the stock hindges amd key lock....

I ask becasue Carpy sells just the seat pan for the same
price as these guys do upholstered !

Will your state let you pass inspection without directional lights?

Ya know...yes they will.  They don't really do inspections...Turn signals and helmets are not required...I do wear a helmet though.

I am going to put signals on the rear anyway...it allows me to relax a bit more while waiting for left turns :P

FIXATED----> I take it the fiberglass seat base and the actuall seat detach from one-another ?
So, the seat pan is what bolts to those nifty brackets, then the sctuall but-pad goes over that  ?
Email me some more pics if you can , I am really excited to see your entire setup... ;D
