Hi, I thought I'd post this here as it would get more opinions. It can be moved if needed.
What would everyone think of getting reflective decals of the forum logo? I Imagine the new logo would probably be to complicated to do, so I would think we would have to maybe use one of the old old logos. Like just the red and black part or something? (Attached below) Of coruse this would be up who ever own's the logos Glenn I think? If we didn't want to or couldn't do the SOHC4 logo would could always do the classic 750 Four logo that's on the sidecovers just a thought.
Here is the site:
http://www.streetglo.net/streetglo_files/page0012.htmI am no way affiliated with this person or website. I emailed him first before bringing this up on here on the forum so I wouldn't look like an idiot.
Here was his response:
"Here's what I do for clubs, you can talk to your group if you like to see if it will net for you the kind of sticker you would like. Feel free to quote me from this point on if you like and the members can decide what works.
Our free program is truly free. I pay 100% of the cost for a club logo, it's design, it's production, etc. The club or group must be an established riders group and be a web or forum web based group. Collectively your group needs to establish a price for the decal. It can be any price you all agree upon. A lot of times this amount is $1.00, $2.00, $4.00, etc. Whatever you agree on this money ends up in your club expense fund. Typically most clubs have a forum and web site that is usually paid by the group itself or often times an individual that's funding the whole group out of his/her own pocket and trying to work on donations, etc. This money goes to them. We have it set up this way because we want to support those that are doing this for the riders out there.
Anyhow, you pick a price and decal design and let me see the design to make sure I can do it. If I can, then we'll make a batch for you, probably 30 or so and hold them. Your members then simply mail us a SASE (Stamped self addressed envelope) We send you back the SASE with your decal. It's that simple. There are two ways to handle the money. You can simply send the decal payment to your forum operator and they keep us informed of the names of buyers or you can put the money in the SASE envelope and we'll send it to the forum operator as a courtesy. The forum operator may have a donation link. It can be done through there as well and the forum operator can manage this if you like.
To know what decals we can do look at pages 2 through 8 of our website (
www.streetglo.net ). Most of these are blade cut. It will give you an idea of what we can do free for your group. I'll need to know an estimate of how many decals will be needed. The complexity of the decal cut will determine how many we can do for you. I'll need to set a limit if it's a huge group but so far I've never had to do this.
In the event you can't find a design that is suitable for the group among the blade cut designs, I'll agree to do a printed decal and it can be made exactly as you like if the group is willing to pay the resin costs only, nothing towards the decal, vinyl, labor, etc. We use a resin printing process which is a full color process. 99% of the printers use a solvent ink process that is very inexpensive. We use resin because it's high durability and doesn't fade out or wash out. It's an abandoned process because of the high cost of printing (7.00 a square ft versus about .60 cents). It causes our decals to cost $2 or $3.00 more than ordinary decals but since our products are used for safety it needs to be the best and longest lasting so we embrace the higher cost of resin. So far nobody has needed to use a resin printed club decal but it's available to you if necessary.
I am also willing to offer a club discount coupon. Just post this code to your website and provide a description of our products and the code I'll issue to you."
I thought I'd just throw this out here as it might be a cool thing to do.
