Swing Arm

I suspect the swing arm on my K6 could be bent, does anyone know how I can
check, is it easier to take the arm off the bike and measure it sitting on a flat
surface?  ???, cheers

I would, put blke on centerstand, or blocks.
Remove wheel, and pivot shaft for swingarm ( just drop swingarm, a bit)

Then replace pivot bolt after checking it for straightness.

Now with pivot bolt back in, use a level on the pivot to get the bike sitting level. Then with bike blocked level, put pivot back thru the swingarm.

Replace axle, use level to check that axle is level to the front mount.

This will check for twist, it can still be put side to side.

To check that use a parallel shim, against inside surface where axle spacer rides on swingarm, then compare this to the (line drawn through)backbone or other known surface that runs front to rear thru the bike.
