wirung a bobber style tail light?

if i were to put a new a tail light on a new fender would i have to anything with the wiring or could i just wire up the new tail light and it would work? I dont know jack about electrical and i know this is a general question but any help would be appreciated.

Should be a no brainer. I used a turn signal with a red lens and it grounds by mounting to bare metal so I just made sure there was good contact at the mounting point.
Some pics of the light and fender might help.

no i have yet to get the light and fender. Im looking at some stuff from justified deffiance.

unless im mistaken these are the colors to look for.
solid green: thats your ground. hook it up to the frame/casing/whatever of the light. or if it has a tab for a ground put it there.

1 brown wire and 1 green with yellow stripe: these are your power to the tail light and the brake light (its a dual filament bulb) there are 2 wires going to the light bulb itself hook these up to those.  i forget which is which though.
