wow, this is just great stuff. I love the idea of using the back of a tank for your seat. the oil tank is too much. way to go!

I may steal your idea for my next seat.

No!  I like your seat the way it is.  Your bike would look less rugged if you went the racer look.  But if you do get rid of it, I may be interested in buying it.   
 

I won't sell it. sorry. even if I make a new one, I will keep it to be able to switch it up. and if I do make another one I will def make it look rugged/tough.

Let me know what you guys want made, Metal or fiberglass,    painted or not,     upholstered or not,    mounted or not etc...ill post some pics of a couple customer bikes im doing and you can see some examples...neither is finished but will be soon...the sr500 will be painted upholstered and mounted above a custom electronics tray i made and the cb750 seat was made one off out of a kawasaki gas tank i had lying around, it will be painted and upholstered too...since i fabricated the 750 seat by hand it has taken about 20 hours so far and will be 10 more before im all done and the sr500 tray took over 20 hrs to fabricate and will have another 20 in it by the time im done  they will both be painted show quality and i charged them between 600-1000 bucks each depending on what all was done....I have sold seats before that were unpainted and not mounted but completely one off metal jobs for 3-500 but you would have to mount it and paint it.....feel free to pm a phone number if you want more info ill be glad to call......I could mold any seat that you have perfectly from fiberglass...so if anyone has a seat and they want it duplicated i can do that no problem...in fact the c4 seat on the sr500 is an airtech seat ive molded and recreated....

Awesome work. I will keep it in mind. Next winter I need to do some thing with the seat. I picked up one on ebay but not sure I like it much however its better then what I have. I want a custom seat for sure, tho it would not be as involved as those I think..

I like how you used a chrome Chevy alternator bracket for the exhaust mount. nice use of found parts.

Where did you put your coils on your bike?  Did you have to use aftermarket coils with longer wires or did you modify the ones you had?  I've been wondering this since the thread started but thought someone else would ask.

for the record i only did the seat on this bike and a custom battery mounted under the seat, nothing else hahaha but i think the coils are in the stock location....thanks for all the love though stay tuned for pics of my cb750   nice...

i get it, on MY bike haha im going to use smaller aftermarket ones and mount them near the stock location hopefully, ill let u know if they fit...

Finally had some time to work on my bike, custom headlight ears made, triumph headlight painted engine in frame painted, tank and seat painted and buffed, wheels on shocks on lowered 4 inches, mini gauges on clip ons on, new gas cap riveted on

started wiring the bike up with a solid state rectifier and reg from a yamaha ill let you know how it goes....
