Howdy again... this is the guy who just rebuilt the CV carbs on his '82 CB650 and found out he can't adjust his float levels and doesn't have any needle clips, but it's still running lean.
I've also just realized that all this time I could run with the choke a full quarter on with the engine hot and not have it affect RPMs in any way. In fact, I think it actually IMPROVES the performance of the bike by limiting airflow. Go above 1/4 and the RPMs shoot through the roof. And I also realized that it's been doing this ever since I got it... just never thought about it before.
Is this normal to have so much play in your choke?
