Did I ever complain about the high price of bikes in Denmark due to exorbitant taxes? Well, have a look at this 40000km bike :o  100000 Danish Kroner is more than 15 thousand US dollars. The case for the defence rests  :P

and that's due to taxes?

Well Harry, come to California and you won't have to pay those kinds of taxes. I sure we can find a house with a garage for under a $1 million (fixer upper).  :'(

earlier this week, i bid on a 1977 kz1000 on ebay.  the bike is located near toronto canada.  one of the other bidders was located in denmark.  go figure  ??? ??? ???

is it cheaper to transport an old bike half way round the world, than buy locally?

i guess the welfare state doesn't come cheap:

That is a sweet lookin' Z bike!!! The one I had would have made a good donor.All the chrome cases,etc.

Yeah, I come riding down the street on my 500 and all the chicks go "Like, wow, dig the guy on the 500, he must have LOOOTS of bucks!"  ;D
