How does one order from CycleX?
« on: June 11, 2009, 02:27:52 PM »
I emailed. I called and left messages. NADA!

I believe the voice on answering machine is the wife.
Only other option I have left is to use fugbay.

I guess it's sort like buying a '76 CB750K Honda.
Pay first and pain later.

Da hell! It's only money.

When they vanish like that, there is usually something else going on.  Sometimes they are hard to get a hold of but you will get them soon.  A trust worthy people to deal with what I have dealt with and read on here.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

They're not to computer savvy .  You need to call . Chances are you'll talk to Ken himself ( the owner ) .  Really good guy . I ordered my parts from him . He'll even talk you out of some parts and give good advice one something more practical and better . I was impressed .  Got my stuff 3-4 days later .  I like dealing with him .

Gotta call the shop . The site's not too up to date but I guess they try .  It's a small shop in Wisconsin however they do business hometown style .  They're worth a shot .

I like their website. It's more fun than business.

I tried for days and never got a hold of them, email never worked either. So I just ended up sending them money via paypal with a list of what I wanted and added what I thought shipping would be and they sent me the stuff.

Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.

I just ordered some fork tubes from them earlier today.  Called twice...busy; third try got through.  The guy that took my order said the person who usually takes the phone orders is out for the week.  He seemed a bit overwhelmed.

I saw Ken a couple weeks ago.  I got some parts from him.  He insisted on running his latest engine for me - 2 carbs - I dunno know how many cc's, but not factory.  It sounded incredible.  Definitely a place to be seen/experienced.

From what ken has said to me his wife is having some health issues so reaching them is a little more difficult.  He tells me to call near the end of the week afternoon thats when he's there most and his helpers are there.  Wed-Fri, maybe Sat afternoonish
His parts are definitely worth the hassle ;D ???
good guy to deal with and like Rich W said he'll talk ya out of some parts and provides good advice to more practicual parts, hope ya get a hold of him

I heard that Sue had surgery last week.  Be persistent and get them on the phone.  Both Ken and Sue are stand up, good people, who go out of their way to make their customers happy.  Shipping is always fast, and customer service is great.

If you guys are on first name bases with CycleX - I am sold.

Is it just me that I begin to listen to this forum more than to my wife?

Ken & Sue are straight-up great folks, and Cyclex is heaven for all things CB750.
