where does this tube go...

On my K8 I have a rubber tube tht comes up from my #2 carb...right next to the fuel inlet on same carb...what is this tube...is it a vent or a vacume tube of some type...

is it supposed to connect to something...somewhere? ...mine is just hanging there acting like a vent...I could not find it in the shop manual...

...hey buff...I wondered the same on my bikes...I think it must be some type of overflow or vaccum tube.  I know there are overflow tubes on the each carb, but thats the only thing I can come up with.  Even if u cover it up with u'r thumb, it doesn't have any effect on the motor.

   That's a vent tube. On my bike it is held with a clip on top of the air cleaner and just hangs off the back of it.
