and we even have tags now.

Still waiting on some bits and pieces. But we are getting closer. Some one asked the other day about the heat wrap. I used 1 50 foot roll of 1 inch, 1 15 foot roll of 1 inch, and 1 roll of 2 inch by 50 foot.

Hey RR, did you ever share paint info with us?  I've got another project that needs a red frame...  What did you use for frame paint?
and btw, very nice work.

Hey Rusty

Nice build you've got goin' on there.

Where did you get the chrome gauge surrounds from?  I've only ever once seen a set come up on eBay, and although I've found a place that does them for the CB400's, I can't find anywhere that supplies 'em off the shelf.  I thought Carpy might be the man on that one, but even though he uses 'em on plenty of his bikes, I can't see that he actually sells 'em  ???

Thanks for your help buddy, and keep on buildin'.

Neil

I went and got a battery, got it all charged up and mounted.

Installed the seat mount.

So then I went ahead and mounted the tail section.

I also got my ISO-PEGS finshed up and mounted. they look way better than the stock ones in my opinion.

I got them from dennis kirk for like 42.00 plus shipping. I was ordering other things so the shipping wasn't bad. The pegs are for a Harley Davidson not quite sure what model.

  Part# H49600
Small Male Mount ISO-Pegs

I contacted Kuryakn and let me tell you they were NO-HELP what so ever ! I explained what I was doing ( pictures and dimensions included ) And all I ever got was " I asked the techs and No nothing for your application "

So i took matters into my own hands. I ordered the above set of pegs. I then went to Lowes and purchased two 3/8 pins , two 3/8 bushings ( steel sleeves ). I cut the sleeve to fit inside the honda peg mount. The I drilled the honda peg mount to accept the 3/8 pin. Then I drank a couple beers and drilled the peg adapter to accept the bushing. Put it all together and then welded the bushing to the bottom of the  iso-peg adapter. When you install the peg into the honda peg holder it does not sit level it points down. So I welded a small strip of steel along the bottom of the Honda peg holder to keep it level. You could also drill a hole in the bottom and run a small bolt up thru to use as an adjuster so the peg sits even. I will get you some better pictures if needed.

Hope this helps for others trying to get rid of those awful Honda pegs.

Ok Here's what the Kuryakyn guy told me...

Small ISO Peg - 4" long and 1.5" wide.

Large ISO Peg - 4.5" long and 2" wide.

Looking at them in pictures and holding in his hand he said there is a huge difference between the two in size. Must be the rubber pads that does it.

Evidently the small difference in numbers is irrelevant.

I got my 1976 for $300 it took about 3 days to get it running, my 1978f for $100 dollars in boxs and my 1973k for nothing and it took about 4 days to get it running. So $400 for the three I think was a pretty good deal.

Very cool, love the white fairing and hardbags!!!!

If you are ever looking for a new home for the hardbags, my '73 K3 that would provide them with a nice trip around the Canadian countryside.

Well I got a lil more work done this weekend. Still have sum shaping to do on the seat padding. I still have to make a small bracket to mount the breather filter and finish my kickstand. But here are some more pictures.
