My project bike is startin to come along but i have another question. Can I use the chrome swing arm from my 1973 CB750 in my 1976 CB750 project frame? It is still in very good condition and I think it looks much nicer than the black one that was on the 76 when i got it. Thanks again.

I think you should be ok, pm Hondaman to be sure, he's got a good grasp of swingarm specs over the years.

Ok here we go with "OPERATION BIRTH KONTROL" To start off it is 1976 cb750. I am using a 1978 f tank , clubmans, and fiberglass cafe seat.

I cut some test stripes for the tank and tail. Its kind of hard to tell but they are charcoal mettalic with flat black, and red checkers.

1940's Ford led taillight.

OK I'll bite, whee did the Op Birth Kontrol come from? A long as your in the garage, you can't be makin babies?

Is the Frame red or orange. Either way looks great.

And the motor is a nice touch too!

I'm 99% sure you can swap the swingarms, but you'll still need confirmation from someone who knows...and finally.

Not enough people take advantage of the room they have overhead. My shop looks like a Max and Erma's restaurant, all kinds of stuff hanging from the ceiling

The frame is red but sometimes with the flash it kinda looks orange. Thanks for all the good comments on my project and on the trash can monster. I think it is actually starting to look like a motor cycle. As far as the name "OPERATION BIRTH KONTROL" I like to name all my projects and since it is a one seater I won't be able to take any MORALY CAUSUAL FEMALES for a ride. Hence the name "OPERATION BIRTH KONTROL"

P.S. my last big project was "OPERATION VIOLENT PORNOGRAPHY"

OOPS!!!! I saw this post today...read your question...and then reported to the moderator with out scrolling down more and seeing that it was in fact a project thread. Sorry.

You could go back to your original post and rename the 'Subject' to Project Birth Control. Then it won't show up as "another swingarm question" in the list of topics. That might keep any others that have the same pet peeve as me from reporting it inadvertently. Just a suggestion. We ALL gotta keep one-off tech questions out of the Project Thread or it becomes worthless.

Now for your bike. The engine looks fantastic! I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

great start! i like what you're doing on this, the type of seat is one of my favorites, checkered looks great, and love the trash can; monster one and one filled with dead soldiers.

what paint did you use one your engine case and cover?

I cleaned it all with engine degreaser, simple green, purple power, rags ,tooth brushes, wire brushes, 3m abrasive pads, and coat hangers. i cleaned it all again with wax and grease remover. Then painted it with that low gloss black engine. I wanted to do the whole thing black but i was afraid that if i missed anything in between the cylinder and head fins that the paint may flake or chip. So i just painted them with the silver engine paint.
