Thanks Toxic! that is what I wanted to hear. I have to get some piston rings first before I reassemble. They are availible from bike bandit which realy upsets me because I just placed an order with them and it was already shipped.

I was really hoping to have a rolling chassis by the weekend but it doesn't look like it is going to happen unless i put the fork lowers on and reuse the old piston rings. I recieved all my triple tree bolts and nuts, brake caliper screw and spring, and rear shock nuts and bolts today.  So maybe I try to tackle the wiring harness and finish up the motor this weekend. Or maybe i will ride JETSKI and DRINK BEER !

you advertising the kylon camo paint :]  I've heard some pretty good things about it.  Is that what you used on your water craft?  I've been thinking of buying a gallon of it and spraying my bronco II

I used that camo paint to paint my jetski and i use it for my ar-15 mags. It has held up very good on the jetski.

I know i saw a topic about wiring xs 650 switches onto honda's but i can't find it anywhere. I have my harness pretty much straightened out but i am probaly going to need a new left side switch unit because there is something wrong with everyone i have.

So i started checking out the harness and looks pretty good everything seems to be ok. When i hook a battery to it the headlight, horn, turns, and brake light all work. I have power everywhere i should.

It's starting to look like a motorcycle again. I can't wait to get the motor back in and get it all wired up.

I am waiting on looks of parts from BikeBandit, Partsnmore, and alreadt got my stuff from Z1 Enterprises. Hopefully it will be here before the weekend.

well I got the front forks back on complete with new seals , boots , and piston rings. I have to get some springs and fork oil. ANY OIL RECOMMENDATIONS ?

I am considering just installing the small dust boots and using the long ones for something else.

I also started working on my switch pod.

I made the plate bracket out of a piece of pre-bent steel I had laying around the garage. It is mounted to the upper shock bolt and has a rubber bushing at the bottom to keep it from hitting the coil spring.
