thanks hednut ! i am still waiting on some parts and I run into a couple of set backs. Somehow the cables i ordered are like 3 inches longer than the stock ones. Which is not going to work especialy since I have clibman bars. I still have to get some jets and sync the carbs. front brakes needs lines run and bled. Plus other lil things.

Well I got a little bit further this weekend on my project. I am still waiting on some parts. But we are almost there.

I made a plate to mount where the tool tray was for my headlight relays.

And also a fuse for the relays.

And it all fits nicely under my cafe seat.

Then I took a 40 break!

The bike does run but i am waiting on carb jets and some other small parts. Also the clutch is stuck. ANYONE KNOW A TRICK FOR UNSTICKING A CLUTCH THAT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR AWHILE? ?

As for the clutch....I would pull the basket and plates....clean and re-install.

I think there was also somebody on here who mentioned putting the bike in gear... and rock it back'n forth "somewhat gently" on the ground with the clutch pulled in. Eventually released for them.

all depends on how stuck it is. I unstuck mine by pushing it in gear in the drive way with the clutch in. when it seemed ok I pulled the clutch with it in gear and started it. It had a bit of drag at first. seems fine now.

Thanks again guys ! I went and got insurance today, got the title notarized, waitin on parts. I should have plates and registration tommorow. i am realy trying to get this thing together for saturdays RIDE TO THE MOVING WALL in East Liverpool, Ohio. I don't want to make the entire run just goto to the park and wait for all the other bikes to arrive. Its only a few miles from the garage so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

I strung the harness out like that to make sure everything worked as it should before i crammed it back in the frame. I did eliminate some wiring ( idiot lights, handle bar start switch, clutch switch ) but added some also.( headlight relay wiring )

I tested the entire harness. I got some bulbs and sockets and had everything hooked up. I made sure my headlight(high and low beams)were working, the horn ,the key switch, the turn signals, I made sure i had power at the coil wires, the brake light, and a couple other things. I just mounted the center of the harness up with cushion clamps. Then stretched every lil branch off and marked it on the board. Then removed the tape off of it.

That is a fantastic idea for the wiring setup!!

For the mechanically and electrically matarded people like myself, this actually makes perfect sense. I could do that in my basement over the winter as I plan on completely rewiring my bike during snow season. I got a gremlin that keeps eating fuses and signal light bulbs
