Bodain,
I talked to that guy the morning after he listed it, said he was in the shed loading them to take them back to town and could show them to me in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I'm an hour and a half away and couldn't get away at that moment so told him I'd call him back.....never answered his phone again....figured someone else got them! Apparently he just realized with what was probably an abundance of calls, that he was GIVING them away.
For anyone who couldn't open the link, it was 2 cb750's, that one and another for $200...both with titles, both complete....one with an electrical problem and the other "quit pulling" while riding down the highway.
Guess I'll quit kicking myself over them now that I see it's still for sale.
Quit kicking yourself. Now those two bikes at $100.00 each would be a super deal.
When the original guy posted the first ad. I called and emailed him as did, along with about 50 other guys. No reply...... Just like you...
Since I am now the owner the the RED one for $450.00 I got to talk to the guy that bought them both... Apparently for some unknown reason the original guy wasn't taking phone calls or emails. The fellow that got them both sent him a text message and got a response. Thus, he went and got both bikes for $200.00
Now get this! The guy that bought them both, is not a motorcycle guy. In his world they were just cheap old motorcycles, but he was still wise enough to bump up the price on the red one and sell it to me for $450.00
He decided to keep the 78 F with 30,000 miles, because he felt like it was the easiest to make run. Little does he know what what a bad choice that was.
The red one that I now own has 17,000 miles with original pipes. He claimed it had a title. Well not really. It has a title on the state of Minnesota, listed with someone else as the owner. So the title is basically worthless.
So since the bike has never been registered in the state of Texas, getting a title is quit easy.
I just don't understand. It's like raining cheap CB's here in Texas. Just 4 weeks ago. I picked this up for $700.00
