Shameless "look what I found" post *updated*
« on: June 07, 2009, 06:55:42 PM »
Got an email out of the blue the other day from a guy with a bunch of 350/400 parts.  Said he picked up my email address from a vintage bike site I registered on and was curious if I wanted the parts.  Said he was moving.  He has a 350 engine (painted black) in a 400 frame (painted red) with a Kaw Ninja front end on it...  A 400 motor, complete 350F and 400F exhaust (400 header is a little ratty but the muffler didn't look too bad), carbs, a 350f frame, wheels, a non dented (but non original paint) 350F gas tank, side covers (minus emblems) and 3 bucketfulls of odds and ends.  Original triple clamp and 350 twin carbs to name a few.  So much for my "I need to clean up some stuff" ideas...  Ought to keep me busy for a while...  Could probably put most of a whole bike together out of the stuff.

You really should be shamelessly ashamed of yourself! Just be careful of the out-of-the-blue emails. It isn't from Nigeria is it?  ;D
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Well, I picked up the rest of the stuff today.  4 more buckets of brake parts, electrics, and other stuff as well as this contraption pictured.  400F frame, 350F motor, Ninja 250 front end, and wheels from I have no idea where.  I have the 400F motor but it does not appear to be in good shape.  The 350F frame and 400F frame match the motor numbers though.  Not sure what I am going to do.  First thing I guess is separate the 350/400F stuff and move the rest.  The 400F frame is serial 2200 something, early number...  I think I may try to assemble a 350F.  I have the tank and side covers but no front end.
