Remote MC (hidden master cylinder)
« on: July 23, 2009, 10:18:19 am »
When I finish my project I'd like to have the handle bars as empty as possible.  With this in mind, I'd like to hide the master cylinder.  Now, my understanding is that I will need to find a master cylinder which is cable actuated, and then I can hide the MC where I like and run the cable to it.  Which leads to my question.

Are there aftermarket kits for doing this or do I need to look for factory parts from bikes that ran this setup?  If the latter, does anyone know what bikes came with this kind of setup (factory)?

What are the risks/issues/lessons learned from this type of setup?

I cannot remember the model but BMW had a set up on one of their bikes. They hid it under the "gas tank".

Thanks.  I just realized I put this in the wrong section.  Mods feel free to move this.
