I couldn't pass it up..

Well now that I am able to get back on the road I needed a running bike.

The 48 scares me to death. (i don't wanna scratch it)
The CB is still in boxes.
The CM is missing carbs.
The SECA has fire damage. (stupid R/R)
No more Turbo.  :'(
The Katana was purchased for parts.
And the GSXR has just been stripped down for a rebuild.

So I went looking for yet another bike that was 100% rideable.

And for $400 I couldn't pass this up. Sorry about the crappy phone pics.

hey, just to be an instigator, my a.d.d. mind dreams up faster than i could ever do... well that and i lack money, skill, time, ambition... what was i talking about?

oh,  i'm stuck on the idea of a snowmobile (snow machine for palin fans) powered bike. thinkin start with the most viable bike frame (for vin and year of manufacturer- 2 stroke legality purposes) and mangle as necessary. from what i glean off of the interweb there's lots of used and rebuilt engines about, and much hp to be got from these motors, around 200hp from a wee 4 cylinder!

i know it's been done before, konig comes to mind, but i suppose if ya hooked it to a harley 6 speed or other separate gearbox, it could be a bit of a terror.

or howabout really different and a 2 stroke bobber? doesn't fit the image, i know.

Good pictures! No need to apologize for them. The bike looks pretty darn nice, too. Sounds like you have a half dozen bikes already. Why not one more?

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Runs a fair sight better than my CB at the moment.... but that more than likely has to do with it being in boxes.  ;)

Well while I was waiting for some parts to come in I happened on some extras lying around the shop and decided that I wanted a different look for the new daily.

I had some drag bars that were powdercoated black that were just calling my name so....



As you can see there were a few problems using the stock stuff so I decided that after a day or two of riding like that to change some things.

94 GSXR750 master cylinder with remote mount reservoir.


Clutch perch by MSR.


I think it looks better and the brakes have a better feel as well.


I'm not running any mirrors but bar end mirrors are on the way (I found some in my boxes but they were all broken)

I had a couple of older aftermarket turn signals and decided to use them as the stock ones are so huge.

Stock.


Now.


I was going to replace the fronts as well but one of the aftermarket signals wasn't letting the flasher work so I'll have to find a new pair. I want to remove the giant rear tail light and fender and fab up a LED brake tail signal combo.

So that's all for that.

You know Mick I saw that and decided to put those drag bars on it. Only difference is I think he's got a later model Yam front end.

That and I wonder where he's hiding all the electrics.

And I now notice that the front rotors might be the same as the rear..... hmmmm.

havoc i wouldnt say that a bike scares me (other than a twin turbo hayabusa) just get on the old panhead and ride it a little or let me rebuild the motor for you i got alot of experience working on panhead motors. if i owned a classic bike i would try and ride it as much as i could i had a teacher at school that had a early 30's Harley that was beautifull the granted it was rebuilt except the motor (maybe a piston every once in a while and a carb and gas tank repair but this teacher would ride the bike 4 times a year 1. when his grandfather bought it 2. when his dad got it 3. when his grandfather passed away 4. when he finally inherited the bike. everytime the bike was at the school it got looks and crowds

2008 Honda metropolitan (sold kinda miss it for the gas mileage)

I'm not scared of the bike itself, just the notion that it's even more dangerous out there than ever when it comes to moronic drivers.

Want me to buy some for you? Did 230 without even trying. That guy was INSANE when he said it was still low on boost.
