Question about 86A Carbies for CB750
« on: June 16, 2009, 01:55:25 AM »
Hi,

After a 12 month storage I have got out the old girl to do some more work on her...might even complete it this time.....

As I did not drain the tank or carbs - thought I would pull them off and give them another thorough cleanup.....save me some dramas when I go to start her..

Well after giving them a good cleanout (mains and idle jets were plugged - not bad, but enough)
I also cleaned all other orifices with cleaner/compressed air..

took out the air bleed screws and spring - could not see any washer on the end of these in any of the carbs? Looking at some exploded diagrams, I want to make sure are there actually supposed to be some in there or not?

Can anyone help me out ??
Carbs are Type 86A.
Running 105/40's.

thanks in advance   :)

I recently rebuilt my 1976 750F carbs and didn't find a washer for the air screw.  I also have a set of 86A carbs I purchased on Ebay and cleaned them.  They didn't have a washer either.
