I play guitar and a buddy and I have just started a band.  Written a few originals and are rockin'!

Play a new Stratocaster through a Marshall stack.  It's a 100-watt Super Lead.

1959 Super Lead "Plexi" 100-watt head and two 4x12" 1960B straight cabs with Celestion GT12-75s.

Trumpet (b flat coronet) from 5th grade till 10th.  Haven't played it much since. Just had it completely gone over and put into new shape. Now I have to retrain the lips. Can still do the scales and barely get 'taps' out and 'moon river'. Might just go back and take lessons again.

I've played guitar since I was a kid and bought an upright bass last fall anticipating it would be my winter project...still working on it. I enjoy music more than anything else. My brother is a fabulous guitarist and has played with Bonnie Prince Billy. Musically, I live vicariously through him. He rides bikes too, but has a Suzuki. The link below includes some of my pictures of gigs they played in San Francisco and Louisville last year.

I love music and noise, so I will try and play anything that makes sound...

So here is my list of junk...

Accordian
Saw
Drums
String Barrel (dunno what else to call it, it's a wooden barrel missing both ends with different size string put through it in different locations and you pluck the strings and it sounds pretty rad, it was a drunken creation by my best friend, his girlfriend, and myself)
Bass
Guitar
Trumpet
Recorder, yeah like the one you used to play hot cross bvuns on in elementry school

I am good at none of those really, but I can make sounds that are bareable to listen to...

Only thing I play well is an acoustic guitar, I am not good with the whole electric thing.

Acordian @ 5 yrs old, piano @ 12, trumpet @ 14 and now guitar.  Here is a few pics of the Strat I built (with my own electrical mods) and a Conn 12 string I've had awhile.  I like Peavey amps.  My brother and I had a Christian band in the '80's, wrote some original sutff.

old thread but rather than start a new one for this question.....................................

i blew up my little fender champion 30 this afternoon jamming with a neighbor at full volume. i wasnt real upset as i only paid 40 bux for it last year from a guy on craigslist. a local fender repair guy told me it's going to be at least 50 dollars just to find out whats wrong with the amp and i just cant see spending that right now so i'm looking at going to a different amp now and i'm wondering if anyone here owns a behringer amp? i've seen good and bad reviews online, depending on the site. they seem to be ALOT of amplifier for the money but i dont want to blow money on something that is going to let go on me in 6 months. i've looked at a  new marshall micro stack too. i just cashed in my small life insurance policy (the other one is enough to cover my debts and cremation) and paid the insurance for the car and honda in full for the next year and i have enough left to get an inexpensive amp. i would LIKE to go larger with at least a 2x10 combo amp, something with more volume so i dont have to push a smaller, lower powered one too hard. i'd rather not buy used off of sleaze-bay too.

I play bass and guitar. Bounced around in a few bands a couple years ago. Now I just play in my church.

i have been ruined for life as far as other brands of guitar  ;D  neighbor from up the street just got a Duesenberg DCA guitar and he let me play it this evening (through his vox ac-30) what a sound, amazing action too. it plays like nothing else i've ever played. even then, i couldnt justify spending 2500+ dollars for a guitar.
