Carb sync
« on: June 15, 2009, 07:10:01 PM »
I got a new set of carb vacuum gauges and now 'ole Rhonda is running smoother than the proverbial baby's *ss.
It was soooo satisfying, that I now feel bad for anyone around me without freshly sync'd carbs!
That being said (and the fact that I have plenty of time on my hands as of late  :(),
I'd be willing to sync or help to sync anyone's carbs within a reasonable drive from me.
Or, you can show up at my garage in S.W. Portland, Or. and I will hook you up, free of charge!

Just my way of trying to give a little back.
Any takers?

How far is reasonable?   ;D  I'm about 3 hours out, going to need to get my 80 cb650c synched in the next two weeks.  Looking into a DIY manometer, but it seems kind of tricky for 4 carbs.

What direction are you in?
I could possibly work you into a camping/riding trip.
Was (not so) recently laid off.
Always looking for an excuse for a trip!
Lemme know where your at.

I'm in Enumclaw, Washington.  About 40 minutes south of Seattle, 50 minutes north of Olympia.

I recently went through the no job routine for a few months, it's kind of fun expect for the dwindling savings account!

Ah Enumclaw... been through there many times on my way to Crystal ski area (one of the best kept secrets around)

I do plan to make the peninsula soon. Leaving for eastern Or. (painted hills, John day fossil beds) for a few days Friday. Then I'll be back to re-up  :D and do the rainforest. So, if late next week works for you, I think we can hook something up. Then I'll hit the ferry out of Tacoma, and catch the end of 101. (Gotta love the PNW)

You know, that would probably work.  I've got some float bowl gaskets and a rotor in the mail and I SHOULD be good to go in the next 3-4 days.  I just don't want to drive this bad boy too far out of the area right now as I'm not sure what will break next.  There are some good roads to ride off of 410.  Crystal used to be good, before $60 lift tickets.  :(
