voltage regulator?

Where is the voltage regulator located?  Is it something that can be repared or do I need to replace it?
Any info on the charging system and touble shooting would be great.  My bike is a 76 cb550f.

It`s located under the left sidecover.
Go to the the FAQ section and click on Manuals then you can download the 500-550 Honda Shop Manual there.
 Click on the "fault finding pdf" below for a handy chart.
